I have written about this before but for those of you who aren’t familiar with my story. My name is Michael Gabriel and I have a 17 year old formerly-feral-feline named Ese, who helped me to survive a years worth of treatment for Hepatocellular Carcinoma aka Non-Alcoholic liver cancer. The treatment was absolute torture and it ended up failing miserably. I am alive today but only because a Serbian Angel signed up to become an organ donor and she saved my life when I had an organ transplant.
When Ese was approximately 10 years old he was diagnosed with kidney disease and lost so much weight it did not look like he was going to survive. For the past eight ( 8 ) years, I have given Ese 100ml of Ringers Lactate subcutaneously, which is thru a needle painlessly inserted under his skin. I have done this every single day without fail for eight (8) years and it has kept him alive and well. It is not a cure and unfortunately it will not work forever. But for now he is a happy, relatively healthy cat who has a live-in companion named Rootin-Tootin.
If you have seen any of the videos of Ese getting his “ringers” on my Instagram then you have seen how as soon as the needle is removed, Rootin-Tootin who patiently waits behind him, leans over and licks the back of his neck and shoulders. A case of lactated ringers, a box of 18 gauge needles and the lines used to give my cat this life saving treatment costs several hundred dollars per month. This doesn’t include prescription cat food and the assorted blood tests needed to monitor his condition.
Now for the good news. Ese has a few friends who wish to stay anonymous, uh Teri and Dianna, who have made certain that he has never missed a treatment or a meal. I can’t thank you enough. Ese has enjoyed a much longer life than anyone ever expected and is still receiving treatment. My thanks to everyone who has helped to keep him healthy and happy.
Thank you and Meow for Now !

The illustrations on this page were drawn by a diverse group of cartoonists, illustrators and caricature artists. My goal is to produce a Cat Yoga comic book and a Cat Yoga graphic novel. There are other illustrations being prepared and they wil be posted as soon as they are completed.
Once I have a lot more of these character model sheets and other illustrations colorized, completed and ready to go, I hope to pitch my idea to a company like Netflix, Nickelodeon or the Disney Channel. Cats remain one of the most-searched-for terms on the Internet and YouTube video’s of cats account for more than 26 BILLION views. It’s not hard to envision the Cat Yoga Squad being developed into an animated television series for grown ups. I can easily imagine the Cat Yoga Squad being made into an action-packed feature film as well.
So please stay safe and show your support for the Ancient Art of Cat Yoga.
Thank you and meow for now!
